Project Overview

The client sought to implement a comprehensive Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) process to streamline operations and drive strategic decision-making. The goal was to automate the generation of documents supporting the WBR process, ensuring precise and comprehensive coverage of business metrics.

Challenge

The primary challenge was to design a system that could efficiently manage and update business metrics while generating high-quality, visually engaging documents for WBR meetings. The client required a solution that was easy to maintain, allowing for the addition and removal of metrics without significant technical overhead.

Metric Repository

We designed our metric repository as a single DB object (table) allowing unlimited number of metrics and dimensional combinations by using Metric 2.0 specification.

Data Collection Setup:

Utilized dbt to organice, maintain, test, and standardize the data collection process. This approach made it easy to add new metrics and augment existing ones by focusing on business requirements instead of technical details.

Document Generation:

Employed a modern cloud-based BI platform to produce visually appealing and PDF documents. These documents included specific sections for operational management, a data dictionary, and levers for continuous business improvement.
